There was a time, I think it was last year, when I started to look for lists like this top five netbooks. Sadly, I wasn’t able to find one. Instead, I searched for reviews of different netbooks that came out last year. I ended up buying a 14.1″ notebook.

Well, there is good news for those in search of the top netbooks in the market. This list is based on PC World’s list of top ten netbooks released last September. The points of comparison of netbooks do not vary much. There were only little changes to the processors of last year and of this year from 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 to 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280. The memory of netbooks usually are 2GB at the maximum, 1.5 for some. The deciding factor for ranking these netbooks was the battery life, but they threw in the WorldBench 6 score and the overall design of each for additional comparison. What else is the point of using a netbook if not for carrying around and using it while you are mobile. That’s why the battery life was factored in.
