Yesterday, Canon introduced 9 latest additions to the products they have made available in the Philippines. The products are categorized into three, namely the PowerShot Triggerhappy A-Series which is Canon’s entry-range, the Digital Compact Cameras, and the DSLR.
From Canon’s entry-range are four new point-and-shoot cameras: PwerShot A495, PowerShot A490, PowerShot A3100 IS and the PowerShot A3000 IS. They are all powered by Canon’s DIGIC III image processor technology, and offer superior image quality, faster operation, extended battery life and higher resolution LCD screens.
The 2010 PowerShot A-series feature the Smart Auto function which enables the camera to compare the subject and the scene’s distance, brightness and color to an internal database and makes it select the most suitable scene mode for the shot. PowerShot A490 has 13 scene modes while the other cameras in this series has 18 scene modes including new scene modes such as Super Vivid and Poster Effect.
