How to Schedule Posts in Facebook 1

If you are not aware, the popular social network Facebook now has a Post Scheduler. This feature is available to brand page admins who have defined the ‘Milestone’ of their company/brand/product being launched.

Here are easy steps on how to schedule posts in FB:

Step 1: On your Timeline, go to the sharing box right on the top and type found on the in an update, add a photo or video. Do not click on ‘Post’ just yet.

Step 2: Look for the small clock on the lower left hand corner. Click on the clock icon, you will see the option to ‘Add Year’ pop up and after you select the year a drop down menu for month will follow and so on.

I haven’t tried it yet, but it is said that you can schedule posts at 10-minute intervals. You can schedule posts for publication for up to six months in advance. You can also backdate posts to 2001. Use the backdate scheduling to mention previous successes, milestones etc in your brand’s profile. Backdated posts only have options for year, month and day.

Step 4: After you have set the time for the update to be posted, simply click on the Schedule button on the lower right-hand corner.

Be warned though. Once the posts are scheduled, they disappear and you cannot go back to them or edit them or delete them till they have been actually posted. Enjoy scheduling posts in Facebook!

    Hi,

“…be warned though. Once the posts are scheduled, they disappear and you cannot go back to them or edit them or delete them ’till they have been actually posted.”

This is only partly true (as it relates to artist/band pages). You can always access scheduled posts via the Edit Page->Use Activity Log selections near the top of the appropriate page. If something doesn’t show, you can expand it a little bit. You can’t edit the content of any posts that haven’t been activated, but you can change the time and you can delete them. I do it all the time.
